Candles

Candles are wonderful for accessorizing a bath. When choosing candles keep in mind color, size and scent. Many sellers shop by sales price and forget that their "setting the stage".

Generally scents are ones related to cleanliness, like lemon, or romance, like a  lavender scent.

Rubber Ducky

Toys, inflatables, floaties and rubber duckiees should be out of site. Do not have them laying about in the tub or bath.

Rubber mats, stick on designs, like little whales or fishes, should likewise be removed. Be extra careful not to slip if these are removed.

 

Check that there are no burnt out bulbs, that they are the same wattage and shade. Do not mix soft white with white, etc.

Bright, clean and luxurious baths sell homes.  Buyers just love luxurious looking bath rooms, maybe because theirs' never looks luxurious.

 

Does this mean you need to spend lots of money and remodel. Absolutely not. But you do need to clean, brighten and stage your baths.

Romantic touches that create "sex appeal" and stimulate the imagination will remind buyers of how wonderful their life would be, if only they had your home.

 

Luxury on a Limited Budget

  Clear all counter tops except for a few staging items.
 
  • Plush towels, color-coordinated and staged throughout the bath.

 

  • Flowers and striking floral displays.

 

  • Decorative soaps and cleaned dishes or holders.

 

  • Fresh paint or new wallpaper.

Towels

 

Creative arrangements for stunning effects are easily achieved with towels and:
 

  • Flowers, fresh or dried
  • Ribbon or raffia
  • Stuffed animals
  • Visit fabric craft and bed & bath stores

Accessories

 

Soap Bars

Decorative soap bars are wonderful starting point for accessorizing your bath. In each bath put new bars. Many bars have a wonderful fragrance and are available in a countless colors.

 

At each showing and when you leave for work make sure that there are no old bars of soap visible and the soap trays are clean.

 

Pictures or prints

Pictures are often overlooked in bath rooms, however, they're very effective in setting tone and giving the bath a special ambiance.

 

Flowers

Fresh flowers or just one single flower will give color and help set the atmosphere. Careful – do not oversize the arrangement, for baths are generally not super large rooms, so be conscience of room size and select arrangements that are proportional to the size of the room.   Potted plants will add texture and color. Colored ribbons tide onto the flower pot or vase adds a nice touch.
