Yards Play an Important Part of Selling the Home

Gorgeous Yards – Great selling Points

A large part of first impressions is how the yard looks. It is one of the biggest parts of the 1st visual impressions, similar to a large frame on a piece of art.

  • Neatly manicured grass; mowed and trimmed. No weeds, worn or brown spots.

  • Shrubby trimmed back and neat.

  • Try to give yourself sufficient time for fertilization to act on the yard and trimmed trees and shrubby to fill back out a little. Other wise they look just trimmed.

Your Back Yard Goldmine

Windows of opportunities are all around you. Think outside the box and develop one or more focal points throughout your yard.

  • Fountains and bird baths - consider adding a few colorful flowers or flowerpots near or against a fountain or birdbath.

  • Couple of chairs, a bench and a little table.

  • Secluded reading area.

  • Trellis with roses or climbing plants.
Having the Yard well Watered is Good

Keeping your plants and grass well watered is important. Fix any broken sprinkler heads and redirect ones spraying the walks, street or the walls of your home.

Having the sprinklers go off when buyers are coming up your walk is Bad

Check the sprinkler timer to be sure it is set for hours when buyers will not be coming up your walk or strolling about the yard.
